New York - New Years 2010 - 2011

In December 2010 me and my boyfriend flew across the Atlantic to JFK, New York, catching the last plane to leave London, and the last plane to land in New York for 24 hours, due to snow both in England and the east coast of America. The snow was thick and beautiful, nothing like we get in England, making the landing that bit more amazing. I have been to New York twice before this trip, and it felt like a completely different city that day, eerie and silent, it seemed like a setting out of a dream. Americans cope with the snow a million times better than us, they have epic shovel lorries that get all the snow and chuck it into the Hudson River, and they all get on with life as usual (after snow as high as my thighs).
